Working Session Themes and Outcomes | Statewide Forest Plan Process | What's Happening Now?

Thank you to all of the participants of the 2004 Governor's Conference on Forestry!

The conference planning team has gotten a lot of positive feedback on the conference and the valuable role it played both as a first step in creating partnerships as well as a good opportunity to further solidify existing partnerships and better understand their potential as we work toward taking action on forestry issues across the state.

We encourage all of you to foster these new and existing partnerships and use them to make progress on taking action on the issues addressed at the Conference. These partnerships will serve as the foundation of the leadership teams we hope continue to work together.

In tying the critical needs of Wisconsin's Forest and forestry community to the missions, goals, and work of organizations around the state we will help position ourselves to realistically address them long into the future.

Conference Proceedings CD sent out beginning of January.

A CD with the outcomes of each session, conference speeches, and PowerPoint's from all of the theme sessions was sent out to all conference participants the first week of January. If you would like a copy please call Sarah Attwood, Associate Forest Planner, 608-266-1327 or email [email protected].
