Frederic W. Braun
1911-1996

Fred Braun was a Certified Public Accountant, a woodland owner with a thirst for forestry knowledge, a love for his woodlands and a willingness to share his avocation with youth and adults, and who, by action and deed, advanced the cause of forestry in Wisconsin.

Fred played a key role in the formation of the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association using his accounting talents to draft organizational documents. He served on the board as treasurer.

Owner of 4,138 acres of woodlands, his management was aimed at timber production, grouse management and respecting the value of the total woodland community.
