Program curricula and activity guides are distributed at PreK-12 professional development workshops addressing PI34 Teacher Standards. All materials are correlated to the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards.
The PLT PreK-K Activity Guide and Music/Movement CD features guided outdoor explorations; animal voices, dances, stories, and simulations; an annotated bibliography; art; assessments; and a topic-related snack into over 35 activities. Workshops approved for Registry credits.
The PLT PreK-8 Activity Guide uses the forest as a “window on the world” to increase student understanding of our complex natural and built world. Over 95 constructivist-based, interdisciplinary activities are correlated to a Children’s Literature Bibliography.
PLT Secondary Modules cover real-life issues such as waste generation/disposal, environmental justice, forest ecology, and the relationship between environmental health and human health. These interdisciplinary modules incorporate science, social studies, math, geography, and language arts. PLT-trained educators may purchase these guides.
